{S&S} Articles Of Faith Article 1 The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. The Scriptures are the authoritative rule of faith and conduct. Article 2 There is only one True God. God is the creater of the universe. Everything has come into to being because of Him. Article 3 Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, was crucified, and arose again three days later. It is because of His sacrifice that we may have eternal life. Article 4 Salvation is received through repentance and faith. Salvation is a free Gift from Jesus through the Grace of God. Article 5 Humans are created to exist forever. Each person will exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
